LOST YEARS BEE'S KNEES

Easy

The Bee's Knees is a prohibition era cocktail which is usually made with gin, but  works brilliantly with our lush aged Four Island Rum.

The original was invented by Frank Meier, who was the first head bartender at The Ritz in Paris in 1921.

Rum and honey are a winning combination, as evidenced by the growing number of honey flavoured rums appearing on the market. But these are often sickly sweet, with the honey and additional sugar masking the taste of the rum itself. At Lost Years we prefer something a little more nuanced.

It's really easy to add your own honey to create something that's right for you.  Experiment with different honeys and play with the syrup ratio to find your perfect serve!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 60ml Lost Years Four Island Rum
  • 15ml Honey Syrup (1:1 ratio)
  • 25ml Lemon Juice

HOW TO DO IT:

  • Shake ingredients over ice.
  • Strain into a nick & nora glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist.
  • Enjoy!
